The Epiphone 1942 Banner J-45 Vintage Sunburst for left-handers, delivering wartime Gibson specifications without compromising on quality or appearance

The Banner J-45 is built as a tribute to the Gibson guitars produced in the early 1940s: instruments featuring the vintage Banner logo on the headstock, a slope shoulder dreadnought body, and the solid Sitka spruce top that gives the J-45 its distinctive, direct tone. Epiphone accurately reproduces those specifications in its Inspired by Gibson line. This particular model is the left-handed version, a variant often overlooked by most brands, but which Epiphone fully executes here with the same specs as the right-handed model.

The solid Sitka spruce top gives the J-45 its wide dynamic range and direct projection: a tone that starts bright and warms up as the instrument is played in. The mahogany back and sides add the warm mid-tones that make the J-45 so suitable for singer-songwriters. The rosewood belly bridge is a direct reference to the original Banner design. The slope shoulder silhouette and the vintage Banner logo on the headstock make the instrument immediately recognizable as one with historical context.

Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, and rosewood belly bridge. Slope shoulder dreadnought body with vintage Banner logo. Left-handed model, completely identical to the right-handed version in construction and specs.

The 1942 Banner J-45 Vintage Sunburst Lefty is for the left-handed guitarist who believes that the best instrument should also be available to them.
