The Fender Pugilist Distortion is no ordinary distortion pedal. A blend control lets you choose how much of each engine you use, from subtle crunch to fully stacked, brutal distortion. Set the blend switch to series and both engines run in series: the result is a thick, aggressive sound that pushes any amplifier to its limits. Are you playing through an already distorting amp? Then the bass boost switch keeps the low frequencies tight and controlled. On a clean amp, the same switch adds just enough body for authority in the low strings.
