Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton – A semi-hollow with style and history
Gem Archer , known for his work with Oasis, Beady Eye, and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, is a versatile guitarist with a keen ear for tone. One of his most recognizable instruments? An Epiphone Sheraton , a gift from Noel himself—and still used regularly.
Epiphone proudly presents a tribute to that iconic guitar: the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton . This model is based on the original Sheraton from their collection, featuring modern build quality and luxurious finishes normally found only on high-end guitars.
The Sheraton is an original Epiphone semi-hollow guitar that's been impressing since 1958—and this Masterbilt version takes that heritage to the next level. Think of the build quality of the Inspired by Gibson Custom line, including the engraved Double Diamond on the back of the headstock.
The body is made of 5-ply laminated maple/poplar , with a solid maple center block for added sustain and minimal feedback. The top, back, fingerboard, and headstock are beautifully finished with multi-ply binding.
The neck is a solid piece of mahogany with a comfortable 60s C-profile , topped with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and stylish abalone triangle block inlays . The signature large Sloped Dovewing headstock from the '60s bears the historic Epiphone logo and a beautiful mother-of-pearl "Tree of Life" inlay.
The guitar features a Vintage Gloss finish and all -gold hardware , including an ABR-1 bridge and a Casino™-style raised diamond trapeze tailpiece .
For the pickups, Epiphone opted for a pair of USA-made Gibson Mini Humbuckers , which deliver a clear, punchy tone with just that little bit of extra bite. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, with CTS potentiometers , Mallory capacitors , a Switchcraft toggle switch , and output jacks—all top-quality.
The Grover® Rotomatic tuners with unique Milk Bottle buttons and a GraphTech nut provide excellent stability and tuning reliability.
The guitar is available in right-handed and left-handed versions and comes in a sturdy Epiphone hardshell case – perfect for on the go.
Whether you're a fan of Gem Archer, Britpop in general, or just looking for a stylish semi-hollow with top-of-the-line components, the Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton is a killer guitar with class, character, and history.
