The Regius Core 7 demonstrating how curly poplar gives a seven-string guitar its own voice
The Mayones Regius Core 7 Curly Poplar is a seven-string electric guitar that combines craftsmanship and tonal character at a high level. The 4A curly poplar top on the swamp ash body in a Python Cove finish gives this instrument an unforgettable appearance, and the tonal qualities of poplar add an airiness and clarity that set the Regius Core 7 apart from its peers. This specific top was personally selected by Jan-Willem, directly at the Mayones factory in Poland.
The Mayones Velvetrone Ironside and Solium pickups deliver a wide dynamic range: from tight, articulate riffs on the low B-string to warm, full chords in the neck position. The ebony fretboard responds directly and precisely, and the 3-way switch combined with volume and tone gives you all the control you need to shape your sound. This is a guitar that thinks with you.
The 11-ply neck made of maple, mahogany, wenge, and amazakoe with two carbon rods offers exceptional stability and a rich, layered tone. With 24 Ferd Wagner Stainless Steel frets on a 25.4" scale, a Hipshot 7 fixed bridge, and Hipshot Griplock tuners, you have an instrument that tunes accurately and stays in tune. At a weight of only 3.7 kg, the Regius Core 7 Curly Poplar is also surprisingly light for a guitar of this caliber.
