Built to the exact specifications of Jimmy Page's legendary 1969 EDS-1275 Doubleneck
Few guitars are as iconic as Jimmy Page's 1969 EDS-1275 Doubleneck. The images of him on stage with Led Zeppelin using this guitar are etched in every rock fan's collective memory. Gibson has been making doublenecks since 1958, but it was Jimmy who put the EDS-1275 on the map forever. This guitar allowed him to effortlessly switch between 6- and 12-string parts live on songs like "Stairway to Heaven ." It was also featured on "The Song Remains the Same ," "The Rain Song ," " Celebration Day , " "Tangerine, " and even at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2023.
Working closely with Jimmy Page himself, Gibson Custom has brought this guitar back to life. Using 3D scanning technology, the original EDS-1275 has been meticulously reproduced—exactly as it looked when Jimmy received it in 1969, before the battle scars of years of world touring. The subtly aged VOS nitrocellulose lacquer gives the guitar a beautifully soft vintage patina, without the extensive Murphy Lab aging of the earlier Collector's Edition.
The Jimmy Page EDS-1275 features a one-piece mahogany double-cutaway body, providing fantastic access to both necks. Both the 12- and 6-string necks are mahogany, with long toes and a traditional hide glue neck joint. The neck profiles are a precise replica of the original guitar via 3D scanning, and both feature a bound Indian rosewood fingerboard. With 20 medium jumbo frets, authentic parallelogram inlays, and a 12-inch radius, this doubleneck is surprisingly comfortable to play—whether you're playing chords or soloing.
The 18 tuners are Kluson® double-line, double-ring units, exactly like the originals. Even the headstocks have the correct 17° angle and the correct logo style.
The electronics are pure Page DNA: two uncovered Jimmy Page EDS-1275 Custombuckers with Alnico 5 magnets on the 6-string neck, and a covered set on the 12-string side. Naturally, they feature CTS® potentiometers, ceramic disc capacitors, and Switchcraft® switches and outputs. Everything is meticulously detailed, just as it was back then.
This is your chance to own a near-perfect clone of Jimmy Page's famous 1969 EDS-1275—exactly as it was originally delivered. The guitar comes in a Gibson Custom hardshell case, complete with a vintage leather strap and a certificate of authenticity featuring a photo by renowned photographer Barrie Wentzell.
