The Martin 00-10E Retro Joe Bonamassa is no ordinary signature guitar. It is a carefully constructed tribute to Joe's beloved 1937 00-18, translated into the accessible Road Series Retro line without compromising on character or playing experience. The custom 1937 Joe Bonamassa Sunburst finish replicates the visual aging of Joe's original instrument, including the patina that only decades of intense playing can provide.
Sonically, the combination of a solid spruce top with scalloped X-bracing and solid sapele back and sides delivers a tone that is instantly recognizable: warm lows, a punchy midrange, and clear highs that respond particularly well to fingerstyle playing and blues dynamics. The 00-body with a 24.9" scale length is comfortable and invites hours of playing, while the ebony fretboard with PA Profile neck offers a smooth, fast playing experience that advanced players will appreciate.
