Sandberg California TT Masterpiece Roquefort Blue

The Sandberg California TT Masterpiece gives J-style tones active tone control

The Sandberg California TT Masterpiece Roquefort Blue combines a classic pickup configuration with active electronics. This four-string bass guitar pairs the Masterpiece finish with an alder body and a Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck. The maple fretboard with white block inlays gives this model a recognizable identity. For bassists who like to work from a familiar J-style foundation but also want direct control over lows and highs, this California TT offers an interesting starting point. The specified instrument weight is 3.72 kilograms.

The two Delano single-coils provide different accents that you blend with the balance control. The neck pickup places more emphasis on a round foundation, while the bridge pickup adds focus and articulation. You can then adjust the lows and highs separately with the active two-band EQ. This helps when a part requires more weight, or when your playing needs to be more clearly audible among guitars and drums. From mellow soul and pop to rhythmic funk and rock: pickup balance, tone control, and playing position give you various ways to find a suitable sound.

The neck is attached with six bolts and has a scale length of 34 inches, or 864 millimeters. The maple fretboard has 22 frets and a radius of 14 inches. The controls consist of volume, balance, and separate knobs for treble and bass. The aged nickel tuning machines match the character of the Masterpiece version. A gig bag is included for transport to rehearsals, studio sessions, and gigs. In this way, this Sandberg combines a familiar playing foundation with practical sound control, without you having to grab a different instrument for every part.

Discover how this California TT Masterpiece translates your touch and which balance between both Delano pickups best supports your groove.
