A contemporary T-Style that feels like an old, familiar friend!

Suhr's Classic T line combines the best of two eras. These T-type guitars have the same feel, mojo, and sound as vintage models from the 1950s and 1960s. At the same time, John Suhr and his close-knit team designed the series to be as reliable, accurate, and stable as possible. This way, even the most demanding guitarist can enjoy those recognizable, classic sounds and feel without interruption! The Classic T Antique models, with their nitrocellulose finish, light aging, and firmer neck profile, lean even further into the previous century.

"Your New Old Friend" is how John Suhr himself describes his Classic Antique line. We couldn't have thought of a better slogan, because these guitars truly feel and sound like you've been playing them for years from the very first minute. This starts with the nitrocellulose butterscotch finish and the tasteful aging and relicing, as well as the inviting Vintage Medium C neck profile. This is a neck that feels like it's already completely made to measure. Plug in the guitar and the Classic T pickups effortlessly deliver all those vintage T-style sounds. The bridge pickup rocks, twangs, and growls, while the neck pickup is your best friend for blues, funk, and even jazz. Switch them both on and you're in Steve Cropper-land! But as John himself said: the Antique T is also your new friend. Modern upgrades, starting with the patented SSCII noise canceling system. This frees your single coils from that nasty 60-cycle hum. Ideal for recording or performing, and all without batteries! What's more, your guitar stays in tune incredibly well thanks to the Tusq nut and locking tuners. The intonation is also almost frighteningly good, as befits every Suhr, thanks in part to the Wilkinson 3-saddle bridge. It's clear: this Classic T is a truly perfect blend of old and new!
