Bengal Burst on Basswood with Pau Ferro fingerboard and SSH+ that rocks without sounding dark

The Suhr Modern Plus Bengal Burst (Pau Ferro) is a guitar that immediately makes clear what Suhr stands for. The Bengal Burst finish over the Maple top on the Basswood body has a warm, layered color that looks different in every light, and the Pau Ferro fingerboard gives the instrument a character that is somewhere between Rosewood and Maple: warm but bright, with a pleasant grip under the fingers. Basswood is known for its full, balanced response across the entire frequency spectrum, which gives the SSH+ at the bridge plenty of room to sound powerful and defined.

The Roasted Maple neck with Modern Elliptical profile (.800"-.850") plays fast and precise, with 24 Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, dot inlays and a 10"-14" compound radius. The SSH+ (bridge), V60LP (middle) and SSV (neck) pickups offer a wide tonal palette via volume, tone and a 5-way switch. The Gotoh 510 tremolo and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning. Weight 3.28 kg, scale 25.5", including gig bag.

The SSH+ is one of the most requested bridge pickups in the Suhr line. It delivers a powerful, defined rock sound with a tight low end and a pronounced attack, but thanks to the Basswood body, it never sounds too dark or too thick. In combination with the SSV at the neck and the V60LP in the middle, the Modern Plus Bengal Burst has a tonal versatility that makes it at home in virtually any genre.
