The Suhr Standard Plus Bengal Burst is a guitar that lives up to its name. The Bengal Burst finish over the Flame Maple top on the Basswood body has a warm, layered color that looks different in every light, and the Pau Ferro fretboard gives the instrument a character somewhere between Rosewood and Maple: warm yet clear, with a comfortable grip under the fingers. The Even C Slim neck plays fast and comfortably, making the Standard Plus an ideal guitar for players who play a lot of notes.

The Roasted Maple neck with Pau Ferro fretboard and Even C Slim profile (.800-.880) plays fast and precisely, with 22 Heavy Stainless Steel frets, dot inlays and a 10-14 compound radius. The SSH+ (bridge) and two V60 single coils offer a wide tonal palette via volume, tone and a 5-way switch. The Gotoh 510 bridge with steel block and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning. Compared to the Maple fretboard variant, the Pau Ferro fretboard gives the Bengal Burst a slightly warmer, fuller tone with more body in the low mids.
