The 1993 Gibson ES-135: a semi-hollow with P-90 character that never gets lost in the mix

There are guitars that stand out for their appearance, and there are guitars that stand out as soon as you strike a chord. The 1993 Gibson ES-135 belongs to the latter category. With a single-cutaway semi-hollow body and two P-90 pickups, this guitar delivers a sound that is both warm and sharp, both bluesy and direct. An instrument from an era when Gibson was still confidently building semi-hollow guitars for serious players.

The two P-90 pickups give the ES-135 its character: open, dynamic, with a bite that a humbucker never quite achieves. Play clean, and you'll hear every nuance. Play with some drive, and the guitar truly comes alive. The Bigsby vibrato adds a touch of expression without compromising tuning, combined with a Nashville-style Tune-O-Matic for precise intonation. The soundhole of the semi-hollow body provides just enough acoustic resonance to enrich the tone.

The body is constructed from laminated maple top, back, and sides. The three-piece maple neck features a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets, pearloid dot inlays, a 12" radius, and a 24.75" scale length. Gibson Deluxe tuning machines ensure stable tuning. Controls consist of two volume and two tone knobs plus a 3-way toggle, allowing for quick switching between bridge, neck, or combined pickup selection.

This instrument is in good condition. The guitar shows light signs of use consistent with its age and playing history, but without significant cosmetic damage. All original parts are present and functional. Before shipping or collection, the instrument will be inspected and, if necessary, set up by our technician.

A semi-hollow classic with its own voice, ready to be played daily again.
