The signature S-Style guitar of virtuoso Mateus Asato!
Mateus Asato is one of the leading guitarists of his generation. With his awe-inspiring technique, musicality, and sound, he's established himself alongside superstars like Jessie J and Bruno Mars. It's no wonder, then, that he's joined forces with John Suhr and his team for his weapons of choice. Because if anyone knows every nook and cranny of a guitar and knows how rock-solid an instrument should be, it's John! This Signature guitar is based on the Classic S model. This means you're dealing with an S-Style guitar that combines the best of the last century with modern upgrades, such as a comfortable compound radius, HSS pickup configuration, and locking tuners. Mateus's input is evident first and foremost in the specially designed pickups, which are perfectly balanced and have precisely the right output and EQ characteristics. The HSS configuration makes it incredibly versatile. The 63+ single coils sound open, full, and fresh; perfect for all styles from blues and funk to soul. The Asatobucker in the bridge position is perfectly balanced with the MLs and delivers a very nice lead sound with loads of sustain and Attitude. Insanely expressive! Mateus was also extensively involved in the design of the neck, and here they opted for a beautiful Roasted Birdseye Maple design with an Indian Roswood fingerboard and a nice, smooth profile. This neck is perfect for legato and slides; thanks to the roasted maple, you feel just the right amount of resistance. The whole thing is finished in a super chic Black Gloss Finish with gold hardware. Want to be as expressive and versatile as Mateus Asato Himself? Then look no further, because this signature Suhr has everything you need! Includes a deluxe hardshell case.
