Taylor GS Mini-e Bass Koa – Compact acoustic bass with Hawaiian Koa and ES-B pickup

The Taylor GS Mini-e Bass Koa is an acoustic bass guitar that impresses the moment you pick it up. The beautiful Hawaiian Koa top not only gives this instrument a warm, rich appearance — it also contributes to a full, resonant sound with extra punch and projection compared to the standard GS Mini Bass. Taylor is known for its excellent build quality and playability, and the GS Mini-e Bass Koa is a great example of this.

Despite its compact GS Mini size, this bass sounds surprisingly full and balanced. The V-Brace construction ensures an open, dynamic response that allows the low frequencies to speak clearly, while the West African Ebony fretboard adds a bright, defined attack. The built-in ES-B pickup makes the bass easy to amplify, allowing it to function excellently both at home and on stage. The short scale length of 23.5" also makes it particularly comfortable to play.

The body is constructed from Layered Koa back and sides, complemented by the Hawaiian Koa top for a coherent, warm tone. The Sapele neck with Varnish finish feels pleasant and plays smoothly across the 20 frets. With 20 frets and dot inlays, the fretboard is clear and accessible. The bass comes with a sturdy GS Mini gig bag, so you can take it with you wherever you go.
