The Sterling Darkray combines the already fantastic sound of the Stingray model with Darkglass's Alpha and Omega Preamps. You read that right: they're built into the bass! The Alpha Preamp is a killer distortion with pronounced mids, allowing you to effortlessly cut through any (rock) mix. The Omega Preamp is a raw fuzz with a fierce bite in the highs. The illuminated LED ring lets you effortlessly switch between the two preamps, and the two-band EQ lets you fine-tune your sound in an instant. And all without pedals!
Besides the innovative Darkglass preamps, the Sterling Darkray is also a fantastic bass. The neck is crafted from roasted maple for optimal stability, and the body is made of Nyatoh, a warm-sounding tonewood with plenty of sustain. The Darkray also features cool open-gear tuners and a rocking H-1 Alnico humbucker pickup. It comes with a deluxe gig bag.
