Frequently Asked Questions
Repairs & Customizing
Can I come by at any time to have strings replaced?
Minor maintenance is done by appointment. This way repairs remain manageable for us and you never come to the store for nothing! You can plan an appointment here .
I have a question about my repair. How can I best approach you about this?
We prefer to handle questions about repairs by email instead of by phone. This way Bob can continue working! Of course, you can always leave your phone number so we can call you if necessary. Also check this list of frequently asked questions first - there is a good chance that your question is there.
My guitar needs maintenance. Can I come by at any time for this?
If your instrument needs major maintenance (i.e. more than a new set of strings), you can drop it off at a time that suits you best. We will take the instrument from you and note down exactly what needs to be done. You will receive a message from us when the maintenance is finished. Expect a waiting time of about 2 weeks. For an indication of the costs and types of maintenance, you can take a look at our repairs and customizing page .
What is the status of my repair?
We aim to have repairs and maintenance completed within 2 weeks. In principle, you can assume that. If you would like an update on the status, please send us an email via info@dijkmansguitars.com.
I would like to make use of the free service that is included with my guitar. Can I come by for that?
The free service works by appointment. You can schedule an appointment here .
Do you also repair other instruments besides guitars and bass guitars?
In principle we are a (bass) guitar specialist. If you have another instrument that needs maintenance, please send an email to info@dijkmansguitars.com with some pictures, so we can see if we can help you anyway. If that is not the case, we may have a tip for a better suitable address!
The Shop
If I decide to buy a guitar from you, will I get a new-out-of-the-box copy?
Almost all guitars in our assortment are hanging in our shop. In this way, all guitars are available to try out, so that you can make the best considered choice. Have you made your choice? The guitar is completely checked upon purchase, adjusted to your wishes and cleaned as far as necessary.
Doen jullie ook aan laagste prijs-garantie?

I plan to come to the store to try out a specific guitar. Can you reserve it for me?
Yes, you can! We reserve guitars for a maximum of 1 day, longer is possible after a deposit. Contact us in advance, then we will note your name and phone number with the specific guitar.
I am interested in a specific guitar, but I can't afford it right now. Can I make a down payment so it doesn't get bought by someone else?
That is certainly possible with us. In principle, we use a down payment of 30 percent. When that is paid, the guitar is taken out of stock and is therefore reserved for you. When arranging a down payment, we always agree in advance on a term within which you expect to be able to pay the remaining amount.
