Dijkmans Muziek was founded in 1983 by Huub Dijkmans , at the time located at the beginning of the Haagdijk in Breda. What started as a classical music store with a wide range of instruments and sheet music, quickly grew into a household name in the region. Later, the store moved to its current location, where the passion for music and craftsmanship has always been central. I myself, Jan-Willem van Zanten , practically grew up between guitars and amplifiers. From an early age, I was fascinated by the world of musical instruments. Before I took over Dijkmans, I worked at Van Gorp in Roosendaal, where I was in charge of the guitar and bass department. As a bass player, I have always had a special love for string instruments, and that passion ultimately led me to take over the store in 2010 to give it a new direction.

With the name Dijkmans Guitars we gave our company a new identity, matching the growth we had experienced. We were no longer just a music store; we became the specialist in guitars. I felt this was the right move, as the demand for high-quality and exclusive guitars was increasing. We wanted to create a place where guitarists felt at home, where they could not only buy their instrument, but also share and discover their passion for music. In the years that followed, we continued to expand the store, with a wide range of top brands such as Fender, Gibson, Martin and many more.
