The collaboration between Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics and Dunlop. This is the MC404 CAE Wah!

The Dunlop MC404 CAE Wah is anything but a standard wah pedal. Developed by Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics in collaboration with the Cry Baby design team, this is an extremely versatile wah built with uncompromising, high-end components. This is a tool for players who demand maximum control and musical flexibility—on stage and in the studio.

At its heart are the two Fasel inductors , each with its own distinct character. With a single click, you can switch between a clear, pronounced high-end wah voice and a fuller low- to midrange resonance . Whether you're looking for tight funk work, singing lead lines, or a more vocal, classic wah tone, the MC404 adapts effortlessly to your style.

Unique to this pedal is the integrated MXR MC401 Boost/Line Driver . This boost can be switched on and off independently and is ideal for giving solos that extra boost or for seamlessly bridging long cable runs without losing any tone. The side-mounted kickswitches allow direct foot control of both the inductor selection and the boost. Bright LED indicators on both sides show at a glance which functions are active—handy on dark stages.

The MC404 is built like a tank and features true hardwire bypass , so your signal remains completely unaffected when the pedal is off. The long-life CTS potentiometer ensures a smooth, consistent sweep. Internally, you'll also find trim knobs for Q (resonance) and gain , allowing you to fine-tune the wah to your taste and setup.
