The 1963 SG Custom in all its glory, with Maestro Vibrola and three Gibson Custombucker humbuckers
The Epiphone 1963 Les Paul SG Custom With Maestro Vibrola is one of the most detailed and accurate vintage recreations Epiphone has ever released. Made in collaboration with Gibson Custom, this is the last year the name 'Les Paul' appeared on the SG Custom, and the first year of the iconic Maestro Vibrola. The one-piece mahogany neck with SlimTaper profile and bound ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays exudes pure luxury. The bound Gibson-style 'open book' headstock with Custom split diamond inlay in mother of pearl and the VOS classic white finish with gold hardware make this an instrument that also impresses visually.
Three hand-wired American Gibson Custombucker humbuckers, connected to CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, and Switchcraft components, deliver a rich, complex tone with the depth and nuance you would expect from an instrument in this class. Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 ratio ensure exceptional tuning stability. Delivered with a black hardshell case with goldenrod interior.
