Specially assembled by us: this D-32 Custom with a 50-year-old spruce top!
This Lakewood D-32 Custom houses a true piece of Lakewood history. During a visit to Lakewood Guitars in Germany, we assembled two very special guitars, including this D-32 Custom. While selecting the wood for the top, Mr. Lakewood himself, Martin Seeliger, made a cool suggestion: let's use a 50-year-old piece of spruce for the top! And so he did, with fantastic results: the wood grain on the top of this D-32 not only looks beautiful, but the guitar sounds incredibly open, dynamic, and complex. AAA Indian rosewood was chosen for the back and sides for extra-rich bass and open treble. The cedar neck adds a touch of warmth. Furthermore, this D-32 Custom is equipped with the brand-new LR-Baggs Hi-Fi pickup. Includes a Hiscox Lakewood hardcase.
