The DGT in Aquamarine: David Grissom's Signature Tone in a Color That Defies the Light

The PRS DGT is not a guitar designed by a marketing team. It was born from a collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom, a guitarist with decades of professional experience at the highest level. Grissom wanted the feel of a vintage McCarty, but with taller frets, his own neck profile, custom-voiced pickups, and a different control layout. The result is the DGT: a guitar that feels instantly familiar yet is completely unique. In Aquamarine, it is also visually a distinctive instrument.

The two DGT humbuckers are specially voiced for balance, clarity, and dynamic response. They deliver an open, layered tone with rich midrange that sounds exceptionally good both clean and with gain. Via the push/pull volume knob, you can activate coil-splitting on both pickups individually, providing a wide range of single-coil sounds in addition to the already extensive humbucker palettes. The 3-way toggle and two volume knobs give complete control over the sound of each pickup.

The DGT neck profile is comfortable and fast, with slightly more volume than a Pattern Thin but less than a Pattern Regular, and plays effortlessly in any position. The rosewood fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, a 10" radius, a 25" scale length, and Bird Inlays. The PRS Patented Tremolo is stable and smooth, and the Phase III Locking Tuners keep the guitar in tune even with extensive tremolo use. A mahogany body and neck with a maple top form the classic PRS combination for warmth and clarity.

The PRS DGT Aquamarine comes with a hardshell case. The signature guitar of a master, in a color that ensures it never blends into the crowd.
