A small combo with a big sound and a great story.

Nathan Junior is Benson's longtime demo guitarist. A seasoned indie rocker, he now supports the Portland music scene through a non-profit. A portion of the proceeds from every Nathan Junior amp goes to an organization that provides music lessons for Portland residents of all walks of life.

And then there's the amp itself. Benson set out to create this amp at a new price point, and instead of their usual Mercury transformers and Jupiter capacitors, they used other locally sourced components that work perfectly in this size. This small 5-watt combo sounds big, making it perfect for home and smaller gigs.

Benson's incredible amplifiers are built in the United States (specifically, in Portland). Benson focuses entirely on hand-building high-quality amplifiers that give you a completely unique sound that can serve as your personal canvas. The circuits that Christopher Benson and his team create are original, yet they still draw on over 70 years of amplifier history. Based on this knowledge, the components are carefully selected to guarantee the very best quality and tone. What truly sets Benson amplifiers apart is their incredibly rich, expansive, and tasteful clean tone with a huge dynamic range. The sound is packed with musical overtones, and with your touch, you can achieve very subtle compression or even overload.
