The Deluxe55 is yet another achievement in the impressive line-up of Origin Effects. This very ingenious and indestructible overdrive houses a complete Tweed-style amplifier in miniature format. Every part of the signal chain, from pre-amp to phase inverter to power stage, has been ingeniously imitated. The Deluxe55 therefore reacts like the real thing; this pedal growls, bites and explodes just like a real Tweed amp. The sound of the Deluxe55 is therefore anything but neat! Characteristic of such circuits is a huge amount of squash and character, with a very pronounced, dirty midrange bark . You can even choose between two different types of power tubes to further adjust the character of the overdrive to taste. Wow!
