The Walrus Audio Melee is one of the most distinctive pedals Walrus has ever released. The combination of distortion and reverb in one enclosure is special in itself, but what truly sets the Melee apart is the ability to reverse the order of the two effects. Reverb before distortion? You'll find yourself right in shoegaze territory. Distortion before reverb? You'll get a controlled, atmospheric chaos that fills your mix from floor to ceiling.

The sound of the Melee is big, cinematic, and full of character. The three reverb modes — Ambient, Reverse, and Octave Down — each offer their own palette of colors, from ethereal spaces to reversed textures and dark, octave-down halo sounds. The joystick control simultaneously manages the reverb mix (left/right) and gain (up/down), providing an intuitive and playful feel. The Sustain footswitch works both latching and momentary, ideal for expressive live moments.

The Melee has one input, one output, and is powered via 9V DC. The controls also include a volume knob and three toggle switches for tone, decay, and effect order.
