The ENGL Powercube 200 turns your pedalboard into a compact amplifier setup
Your favorite preamp or modeler determines your sound, while the ENGL E805 Powercube 200 provides the amplification. This compact Class D power amplifier fits on a pedalboard and delivers up to 200 watts with a minimum load of 4 ohms. This makes it a practical solution for guitarists who get their sound from pedals or a modeler and do not want to carry a traditional amplifier head. Weighing just 1.05 kg, it keeps your setup tidy and easy to transport, from the rehearsal room to the stage.
The Powercube 200 is designed to deliver a clear, transparent reproduction of the signal you provide. This ensures that the character of your preamp or modeler remains the starting point, rather than an additional preamp imposing its own stamp on your sound. If you want to adapt the sound to the speaker cabinet or the venue in which you are playing, you have a three-band EQ and an additional Presence control at your disposal. The EQ can be bypassed, allowing you to choose whether you want to make further adjustments or leave the tone shaping entirely to your other equipment.
The Class D power stage combines the compact format with up to 200 watts of output power. When connecting a speaker cabinet, please take into account the specified minimum load of 4 ohms. In addition to the power amplification, the Powercube features a balanced DI output for connection to suitable audio equipment. The power supply accepts AC voltages from 100 to 240 volts. The enclosure measures 7.5 × 18.5 × 11.5 cm, making it easy to place alongside the other components of your rig. This keeps tone shaping and amplification separate without taking up unnecessary space.
Would you like to make the switch to an amplifier setup around your pedalboard? The Powercube 200 gives your favorite preamp or modeler a compact partner for power amplification.
