Very nice Gibson Custom Shop '1960 reissue in a classic Iced Tea Burst. What a top!
In 1960, Gibson produced the Les Paul Standard for the last time. Models from this year are largely identical to the 1959 model, with one immediately noticeable exception: the neck is considerably slimmer. This fast, slender Slim neck profile would soon be embraced by the likes of Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney.
This 1960 Reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop is a very exact replica of the original, with the same Hide Glue construction and accurately duplicated plastic knobs and pickup rings. Tonally it does exactly what you would expect from an old school Les Paul. Thanks to the combination of Mahogany and Maple you have a warm, detailed tone under your fingers with a beautiful sparkle in the highs. The duo of Custombucker pickups is open and dynamic for an extremely versatile sound palette. Comes with Gibson Hardcase.
