George Benson Signature Ibanez!
The Ibanez GB10-NT is a true classic and one of the most iconic signature models ever made. Designed in collaboration with jazz legend George Benson , this was Ibanez's very first hollow-body signature guitar in 1977—and remains a staple in the collection to this day. That speaks volumes about the class and timelessness of this instrument.
The GB10 features a fully hollow single-cutaway body with a spruce top and maple back and sides , finished in a stylish Natural (NT) finish . The body is fitted with beautiful multi-layer binding all around, providing that typical high-end appearance that Ibanez is known for. The three-piece maple neck with a bound ebony fingerboard (22 frets) plays exceptionally smoothly, while the elegant split-block inlays of mother of pearl, acrylic, and abalone add a subtle vintage flair.
The two floating Ibanez GB Special humbuckers deliver that warm, round, yet defined tone that's perfect for jazz, soul, and fusion. Individual volume and tone controls for each pickup allow you to fine-tune the sound to your playing style.
The guitar also features refined hardware: a height-adjustable ebony bridge , an adjustable split trapeze tailpiece , and a bone-brass nut that contributes to optimal resonance and tuning stability. Every detail exudes quality and craftsmanship.
The GB10-NT is not only a tribute to George Benson but also a testament to Ibanez's long tradition of high-quality hollow-body guitars. It's an instrument for the serious musician seeking pure tone, flawless craftsmanship, and a touch of jazz history in their hands.
