The Martin D12E Retro is an electro-acoustic Dreadnought that combines the timeless aesthetics of the Style 18 line with modern playability and versatile electronics. With a solid spruce top and solid sapele back and sides, finished in a glossy Natural lacquer over the entire body, this instrument exudes both visual depth and character.

The Dreadnought body produces a powerful, projecting tone with a pronounced bass, while the scalloped X-bracing ensures clarity and dynamic responsiveness. The Performing Artist neck with High Performance Taper allows for smooth playability across the full ebony fretboard, with a 16" radius and a 645 mm scale length. Vintage details such as old-style dot inlays, a multi-line rosette, and nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs directly reference Martin's Style 18 roots.

The built-in Fishman E1 electronics with integrated tuner make this model equally suitable for the stage and the living room. The set comes with a Martin Softshell Case. The D12E Retro is part of the Road Series and is built to last for generations.
