The Dijkmans Guitars Firebird you won't find anywhere else: Kerry Green, Split Diamond, and Murphy Lab Aging
Gibson has been building Custom Shop Firebirds for decades, but this one is different. Dijkmans Guitars personally spec'd this 1963 Firebird V Maestro Vibrola: Kerry Green finish, Split Diamond inlays, and Murphy Lab Light Aging. The result is a guitar that looks like it has spent years touring with the world's best bands, yet plays like new. The reverse body, neck-through construction, and iconic silhouette of the original '63 model have been recreated here in exacting detail by the Gibson Custom Shop.
Two Firebird Alnico V mini-humbuckers deliver the signature Firebird sound: clear and present on the high strings, with a glassy attack unlike any other guitar. The neck-through construction ensures excellent sustain and a seamless transition to the upper frets. The Maestro Vibrola adds subtle vibrato without compromising tuning stability, and the Deluxe Banjo Tuners are both iconic and highly functional.
The body is crafted from laminated mahogany, while the neck is a 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck-through design featuring the classic Traditional 1960s Slim Taper C-profile. The rosewood fretboard features 22 frets, a 24.75" scale length, and a 12" radius; the Split Diamond inlays give this instrument an extra touch of exclusivity compared to standard trapezoid inlays. The electronics consist of two volume and two tone controls paired with a 3-way toggle switch. Supplied with a Custom Shop hard case. This is a guitar that Dijkmans Guitars has carefully assembled for the enthusiast who wants something just a little different.
