The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble combining vintage DNA with an uncovered, idiosyncratic personality

The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble is not a standard Les Paul. While the regular 50s Standard is already a strong instrument, this limited edition adds a layer of character that immediately sets it apart. The uncovered Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) openly display their Classic White bobbins, a detail that makes a difference both visually and sonically. The Alnico 2 magnets deliver a warm, dynamic sound with an open top-end that responds to every nuance in your playing.

The nitrocellulose lacquer in Vintage Bourbon Burst is hand-applied and has a subtly faded look reminiscent of an instrument that has been around for decades. No two are identical. This craftsmanship is also found in the electronics: hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, finished with aged gold Top Hat knobs with pointers. This is the Les Paul as it was meant to be.

The body is solid mahogany with no weight relief, topped with an AA-figured maple top. The mahogany neck features the classic 50s profile that vintage Gibson guitar enthusiasts will immediately recognize: full, comfortable, and with a presence that modern slim necks cannot match. The rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 12" radius on a 24.75" scale makes the Double Trouble an instrument that proves its worth both in the studio and on stage. Delivered with a hardshell case.
