The Ibanez MDM1600NML is the bass guitar for the player who wants to control their sound down to the smallest detail. The Hexa Mid system in the Sonitech S preamp offers three adjustable mid frequencies via a separate switch, complemented by a full 3-band EQ and an EQ bypass switch for a direct, uncolored signal. That's a level of tone control rarely found in this price segment.
The alder body with Poplar Burl top gives the MDM1600NML a striking character, both visually and acoustically. The Roasted Maple neck is not only stable under varying temperatures and humidity, but also feels exceptionally smooth due to the roasting process. The rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and a 34" scale offers ample range for technical playing in metal, rock, and fusion. The two Delta S4J pickups deliver a tight, defined output that cuts through a busy mix.
The hardware consists of an MR5S bridge and Ibanez Aero Light tuners, focused on light weight and playing comfort. The Natural Mocha Low Gloss finish gives the neck a matte, fast feel. Supplied with gig bag.
