The Laney Digbeth Foundry DBF30 gives your practice sound extra character with Drive and Tilt
A bass amp for your daily practice session doesn't have to be complicated to offer a variety of sounds. The Laney Digbeth Foundry DBF30 combines 30 watts with an 8-inch HH Blue speaker and an easy-to-use range of tone controls. You plug in your bass, set the volume, and can get straight to working on a new groove. At the same time, this compact bass combo offers room to discover what tone shaping and extra drive can do for your playing. This makes it an accessible starting point for beginners who want to learn their own bass sound in addition to playing the right notes.
With Bass, Middle, and Treble, you can change the balance between a full foundation, prominent midrange, and clarity. The Tilt control also offers a way to shift the overall tonal character, allowing you to quickly compare different settings. If you don't want to fiddle with all the knobs first, the Preshape switch gives you a pre-shaped sound as a starting point. The Drive switch adds extra character when you are looking for a punchier sound. This way, you can play the same bassline with different settings and hear which sound best suits the music.
The DBF30 delivers 30 watts via a single 8-inch HH Blue speaker. The controls consist of Volume, Preshape, Drive, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Tilt. The three EQ bands each have a range of plus or minus 12 dB. For your bass, there is a 6.3mm instrument input; via the 3.5mm stereo AUX input, you can connect a suitable music source to play along with songs or backing tracks. There is no effects loop. The combo measures 384 x 355 x 265 mm and weighs 8.3 kg, so the amplifier and speaker together form a compact practice setup.
Are you looking for a bass combo that is easy to get started with, but still allows you to keep working on your sound? The Laney Digbeth Foundry DBF30 keeps the controls practical and gives you various ways to shape your sound. Grab your bass and give your next practice session its own character.
