The Laney Ironheart Foundry Leadtop gives a single channel three different tonal characters

A compact guitar amplifier head that you can use in different ways: the Laney Ironheart Foundry Leadtop combines 60 watts of solid-state power with connections for a speaker cabinet, direct sound, and headphones. The single-channel design offers clean and lead modes, allowing you to explore different tones with straightforward controls. For guitarists looking for their first standalone head, it is a practical starting point: you choose a suitable speaker cabinet for your setup and can also make use of the built-in connection options. This Foundry head thus combines tone controls and ease of use without a large amplifier chassis.

With Gain and Volume, you set the foundation of your sound, from a clean approach to a heavier lead character. The Bright, Natural, and Dark voicings provide three different starting points to tune the amplifier to your guitar. Then you refine the balance with the passive three-band tone controls. The adjustable pre-boost offers additional options for driving the input. This allows you to play the same riff with different settings and hear how the emphasis changes. This makes the Leadtop not only suitable for practicing, but also for consciously discovering which amplifier sound suits your playing style.

The Leadtop delivers 60 watts RMS and has a low-power mode of less than 1 watt for playing at a lower level. This reduces the power, but does not automatically make a connected speaker cabinet quiet. The analog emulated DI output offers a direct signal path, while the effects loop provides room for external effects. In addition, there is a speaker output, 3.5mm stereo AUX input, and 3.5mm stereo headphone jack. The controls include clean and lead modes, three voicings, a passive three-band tone stack, and pre-boost. The included 24V power supply supports a mains voltage of 100 to 240 volts.

Are you looking for a compact amplifier head with which you can explore both your sound and your setup? The Laney Ironheart Foundry Leadtop offers direct controls and multiple connection options. Grab your guitar and discover which voicing makes your next riff speak best.
