The Laney LA30BL delivers the Supergroup character straight away with a master volume-free design
The Laney LA30BL brings the Supergroup character to a 30-watt tube amplifier head for players who like to shape their sound with their guitar, attack, and amplifier settings. The design draws on rock amplifiers from the late sixties, with the early Black Sabbath sound as a recognizable musical association. Here it is not about a collection of presets, but about a distinct amplifier foundation. The absence of a master volume is an essential part of that approach: the way you set the volume is part of finding your sound.
The playing experience is direct and open, with room for dynamics and different accents in your attack. Quiet parts and heavier riffs can therefore each get their own character. The LA30BL is attractive to guitarists who love classic rock sounds and are looking for an amplifier that also serves as a foundation for their pedals. With the tone controls you change the balance and clarity, while your guitar and playing style continue to play an important role. Thirty watts does not automatically mean that this head is a quiet home amplifier; the master volume-free design requires a suitable playing situation.
The controls consist of Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Gain. The amplifier head has a power of 30 watts and speaker connection options for 4, 8, and 16 ohms. This allows you to choose a suitable speaker cabinet, including the matching Laney LA212, provided the impedance is correctly matched. The head measures 220 x 620 x 220 mm and weighs 10.5 kg. This makes it a relatively compact amplifier foundation to take to the studio or rehearsal space. A separate speaker cabinet is part of the setup; it is not a combo with a built-in speaker.
Are you looking for a classic tube head where the interaction with your guitar is central? The LA30BL invites you to explore the Supergroup character in your own way, with direct controls and room for your favorite pedals.
