The Classic S that shows what Sonic Blue should look like

The Suhr Classic S Sonic Blue is a guitar you immediately recognize and want to play. The Sonic Blue finish on the Alder body is one of the most beloved vintage colors, and Suhr does it justice with a clean, consistent paint job that renders the color exactly as it should. The Alder body gives the guitar a balanced tone with clear mids and a pleasant resonance that works well both clean and distorted.

The Maple neck with Indian Rosewood fretboard and 60's C Vintage Standard profile (.810"-.930") plays familiar and comfortable, with 22 medium Stainless Steel frets, dot inlays, and a 9"-12" compound radius. Three V60LP single coils via a 5-way switch with volume and tone. The Gotoh 510 bridge with steel block and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning. Weight 3.63 kg, scale 25.5", including gig bag.

The V60LP is Suhr's answer to the question of what a vintage-voiced single coil should look like in practice. It sounds warm and open in the neck position, clear and glassy in the middle, and has just enough bite at the bridge without being harsh. The combination of three V60LPs gives the Classic S Sonic Blue a consistent tone across all five switch positions.
