The sound is determined by the combination of a torrefied spruce top with C-Class bracing and sapele back and sides. Torrefied wood behaves like old, played-in wood: the top responds directly, opens up quickly, and has a richness rarely heard in new guitars. The sapele adds body and warmth without stifling clarity.
